Ms. Goodwin was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Ms. Goodwin earned her B.A. from the University of Michigan, graduating early with honors in History and English in 1992, and received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1995. Ms. Goodwin was an associate editor of the Journal of Law Reform. She joined SG from Ruden, McClosky, Smith, Schuster & Russell, P.A. in 1997, and became senior supervising transactional counsel in 2003.
Ms. Goodwin is admitted to practice in Florida and Washington D.C., as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
She specializes in corporate aviation, commercial transactions including merger and acquisitions, asset purchases and sales and membership trasnfers, and complex commercial leasing. Her clients include established national corporations, as well as closely held companies.
Ms. Goodwin provides legal business consulting services, and acts as outside counsel to a large number of local and national corporations.
